Islington

The project aims to regenerate the Islington Quarter over a period of time.  There is a busy commercial life in this part of the city but the environment is poor and the area feels detached from much of the urban regeneration which is taking place around it.

The Islington Regeneration Company aims to build on the existing character and economic activity of the area by developing a mix of uses which compliment existing businesses but provide for a much greater degree of vitality and economic use within a dramatically improved urban fabric.  Existing jobs will be retained by decanting existing businesses in the area, possibly moving back to their existing sites once they have been developed.
