Downing is an award-winning company that operates throughout the UK. We build and manage a range of properties across commercial, PBSA, and residential sectors. With a number of developments already under construction, as well as an exciting pipeline, we are heading into one of our busiest periods yet.

We are looking for an experienced QA / Document Controller to join our in-house Construction team based at our Head Office in Liverpool City Centre.

You will use your eye for detail to carry out regular audits of our site records to ensure excellent quality is achieved throughout all aspects of our developments. The ideal candidate will also oversee the use of Field View across multiple sites, to verify the system is being used correctly, and to its full extent. As well as this, you will also be responsible for the document control across a range of our projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the use of Field View throughout sites
  • Handle filing, uploading, downloading and printing of documents
  • Managing drawing files
  • Ensuring documentation procedures are adhered to and demonstrable for audit purposes
  • Carrying out regular quality control audits
  • Ensuring all findings are inline with current guidelines and standards
  • Collating information to produce thorough reports
  • Regularly liaise with senior management across multiple sites to ensure all requirements are adhered to
  • Attending sites as and when required
  • Carrying out remote spot-checks as and when required, as well as routine inspections in line with development schedules
  • Inspecting relevant Quality Assurance documentation
  • Using additional document control software such as Asta

 

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a QA role, particularly within a Construction environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Field View
  • Confident handling additional Construction systems, along with Microsoft packages
  • Exceptional and thorough communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to occasionally travel to sites when required
